The Remax of Lake Wallenpaupack Greentown office of Larisa Jackson is headquartered in the picturesque Pocono Mountains, in Lake Wallenpaupack, the heartbeat of the Poconos.

This 5700 acre man-made lake is one of the hottest vacation areas in northeastern Pennsylvania. For nearly two generations, it has also been a hydroelectric source, owned by PPL.

Enjoy the Slide Show!

Bordering both Pike and Wayne Counties, Lake Wallenpaupack's 52 miles of shoreline attracts thousands of vacationers and people looking to relocate to the country. More than 13 miles long, the "Big Lake" offers many recreational activities: motor boating, sailing, pontoon boating, parasailing, waterskiing, swimming, fishing, or just plain relaxing and watching the sunset.

In addition to Lake Wallenpaupack, this part of northeast PA offers fine dining, golf, local theatre, horseback riding, and river rafting. Let's not forget the many historical museums and sites in the region: there are several within an hour's drive in any direction! For the young at heart, there are amusement parks, and even a small zoo near the lake.

Winters in the Pocono Mountains are a haven for snow enthusiasts. Lake Wallenpaupack is located in the heart of northeast PA's ski country. Ski areas such as Elk Mountain, Camelback, Big Bear at Masthope, Jack Frost, Big Boulder, Shawnee, and Tanglwood are all within an hour's drive...Tanglwood Ski area is about ten minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack!

Spring and autumn offer dramatic and spectacular bursts of new life, brilliant fall color, and breath-taking views all over the Pocono Mountain region any time of year. Several state parks nearby appeal to the nature lover in everyone.

For those who want to be near a shopping district, a short (approx. 40 minute) drive on the interstate will bring you to Scranton's Target, Starbucks, Steamtown and Viewmont Malls, and the The Dickson City Crossings, where you'll find nationally known stores such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Gander Mountain, Best Buy, Circuit City, A.C. Moore, J. C. Penney, Sears, T. J. Maxx.... Locally, enjoy the many antique, gift, and specialty shops in the Hawley, Honesdale, and the surrounding villages.
